DONATE TO CAROL HOWE SCHOLARSHIP FUND

This fund is established to provide scholarships and other support to Oregon-based Nurse-Midwifery students. It is endowed by the Oregon ACNM Affiliate and other generous sponsors and supporters.

Carol Howe, CNM, DNSc, FACNM, DPNAP, FAAN has provided over 35 years of service to Oregon families and the midwifery community. She retired as the Director of Oregon Health and Science University’s Midwifery program in June 2015.

COMPASSIONATE SUPPORT FUND

The Oregon ACNM Foundation administers a compassionate support for midwives in grief or work-related distress. The fund is established in the memory of Marc Huggins, the son of our Affiliate President, who died on March 20th, 2015.

In 2017 the Foundation’s Marc Huggins Compassionate Support Fund will fund subsidized or free counseling sessions, half-day small group self-care sessions, and material assistance as possible. The Fund will expand activities and scope in future years.

SPECIAL PROJECTS GRANT PROGRAM

The Oregon ACNM Affiliate established the Special Projects Grant Program in 2016 as a mechanism to support small projects conducted by Oregon ACNM members. One or more grants of up to a total of $5,000 may be awarded annually. Members are invited to submit applications for funding of projects or research that contribute to the mission of the Oregon ACNM Affiliate. Applications are due April 30, 2018 and awards are made June 15th. Click here for more information.
