This year’s Martha Browning Bryant Memorial Lecture will explore the implications of trauma for both patients and providers in the context of sexual and reproductive health. Midwives and other allied providers will learn both theory and practical considerations for racially and gender inclusive implementation of trauma-informed care into their clinical practice and organizational cultures.

Martha was a treasured member of the Portland midwifery community who was tragically murdered on her way home from a birth in 1992. The Martha Browning Bryant Memorial Lecture is a CME event that has been held for over 25 years to honor her memory and remember her spirit.
